Co-Curricular Activities

" Learning is the best of all wealth........ far from decreasing, it increases with going." As every resource decrease with the passage of time but brain is the only blessed thing, which increases as much as utilised.

In the competitive world of today with the society demanding so many attributes from an individual, the School takes it as its duty to help the students lay a solid foundation for a purposeful living and to take life as a challenge when they attain adulthood. For this, the School organizes various activities to sharpen the mind and to keep the body fit.

The co-curricular activities render ample opportunities to the Blooming Dales` scholars to showcase their talents. Sports activities, music-vocal and instrumental(the school provides a n extra curricular coaching in playing keyboard, guitar, congos, bongos, sitars and drum sets for the children), dance-classical and western, yoga are worth mentioning. The extracurricular activities add a unique dimension to the teaching and learning process in school. It also enhance their hobby. These co-curricular acts provide a field and help them in building their career.

Student Body

Sometimes the students opt their hobbies as their career and they are happier and satisfied.Social leadership and responsibility are best learnt through active participation. A number of student appointments, selected after a careful scrutiny of their school records are entrusted with various responsibilities and share the task of maintaining decorum in the school. Senior student appointments meet the Principal and Vice Principal periodically. The junior wing has a similar system of student appointments. Such sort of activities raises the sense of responsibility. Many times, it has observed that very careless students become responsible when they have been selected for the particular duties.

Sports

As we all know that a healthy mind stays in healthy body. To make the students fit and healthy, the school has organised different games, sport, and matches through the trained physical education teachers. Due to the drastic changes, the student has less interest in out-doored games instead they prefer in-door games or mobile games. But the school emphasis upon yoga and different sports to maintain their physical health.

The School lays great emphasis on physical fitness of students and to inculcate in them the spirit of sportsmanship, various facilities for games, sports and recreational activities for all are provided. These include Badminton, Basketball, Football , Table- Tennis, Base ball, Kho-Kho etc. Through these activities the students are encouraged to achieve individual efficiency and the spirit of team work. Inter-class and inter-house competitions are conducted as scheduled. Special coaches are arranged to impart quality training and skill in different sports activities.

Student`s Bulletin

To encourage creative expression, children with a fl air for writing are given an opportunity to contribute articles and sketches for the Annual Magazine or the e-newsletter. Through this, they may increase their thanking skill as well as imagination too. This will also help them to opt as a career in drawing and working as a news-paper columnist.

Self Defense

Self defense classes have been introduced for girls of all classes from VI - XI during their Physical Education periods. These classes enhance their self confidence, balance and coordination. With each other as well as to promote the opathy for physically challenged and to learn how to defend others and to save oneself.

Parent-Teacher Association

The School faculty keep parents posted of their child’s school performance. Class teachers update parents of their child’s discipline, attendance and school participation. The School functions in a friendly environment that supports and encourages an on-going partnership between the School, parents and management. Parents co-operation and interest is very essential for the improvement of the individual .So time to time P.T.M. are being organised specially after test and semesters. The importance of regularity also discuss with the parents.

Other Activities

The School organizes competitions in Dramatics, Debate, Elocution, Quiz, Art, Craft, Music etc. to develop creative and communicative competence in the students and to help them to bring out their in-born talents to the fullest. Students are also prepared for various interschool competitions. The student thrilled to participate in such sort of activities and realise, how to play the characters and how to be a good role model.

Special Assemblies

They attach a unique dimension to the growth and development of schools. They are held on every religious and national festival giving the school a secularist outlook. They nurture the elements of creativity and offer scope for free and full expression to the students. The special assemblies are conducted on eve of - Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas, Independence Day, Republic Day, Raksha Bandhan, Holi, Id, Gurupurab , Teacher`s Day, Children`s Day etc. So that the student may not forget the importance of these festivals and must not forget the sacrifices made by the spiritual heroes and national heroes. The national festivals make them to realise the value of independence and the sacrifices made by the people who laid their lives so the others may enjoy freedom.

Trips and Sojourns

Trips and outings are an escape from the hurly burly city concoctions. Enveloped in fabulous beauty, nature beacons the children for a peaceful and blissful sojourn. When out of home the nature`s treasures mingle with the laughter of the children. With this perspective the school organizes fun and study trips both according to the demand and affordability of students. As well nearby garden resort and places of tourism and the places of historical values. So the students may know more about their past as well as enjoy and appreciate the nature.
